F.A.Q.s

How do you register for a CNA Class?

Prospective students have two options for registering for CNA Classes.

1) In Person. The easiest method to register is to schedule a time to come by our offices and school at 4620 50th St. Suite 5 in Lubbock, Texas. There, you’ll fill out our application and the required paperwork.

2) Online. If you’re unable to come by in person, registering online is a great option. You’ll fill out our application and send in your required documents to our email at elitequalitylubbock@gmail.com. From there, we’ll send you an invoice via PayPal.

After both options, we will run our state-mandated background checks and you’ll officially be registered.

For more information and forms, reach out to elitequalitylubbock@gmail.com.

How much does it cost? Does EQNAT offer payment plans?

Our CNA Classes currently are $800 Total. $100 is a non-refundable Application Fee while the other $700 is the cost of tuition. While we don’t have payment plans, we don’t require students to pay a total of $800 at once. When registering, we do require, at minimum, the $100 Application Fee. The final $700 can be split into payments as long as the total is paid by the first week of class. We accept PayPal, credit cards, money orders, checks, and cash. Note: If you pay with a credit card, there is a surcharge.

What documents are required?

You will need the following documents and paperwork:

  1. Driver’s License/Photo ID - Any state-issued DL or ID will work.

  2. Social Security Card/Green Card/Work Visa

  3. High School/College Diploma/Transcript/GED - Transcripts can be from high school or your current university.

  4. Current TB Test - Valid Tuberculosis Tests must be from within the calendar year.

Photocopies will be made at our offices or you can send scans/photos/screenshots to our admissions email at elitequalitylubbock@gmail.com.

Does EQNAT offer financial aid?

We currently do not have any financial aid programs offered as part of our CNA program. However, if a prospective student does need aid, we highly encourage them to seek out help via WorkForce Solutions South Plains. Qualified students can gain monetary aid from them. You’ll need to contact them and request to register at Elite Quality Nurse Aide Training.

What’s a TB Test and where do I get one?

A TB (Tuberculosis) Test is required by the state of Texas to work at healthcare facilities and will be necessary when students are doing their Clinical Hours in our CNA Class. Valid TB Tests must be current within the calendar year.

Students can tested at any major pharmacy or drug store such as Walgreen’s, CVS, United, etc, at their primary family doctor’s office, or at a local lab such as Any Lab Test Now.

Does EQNAT offer online classes?

We currently do not offer any online classes.

How many hours is the course and how does the Clinical side work?

Our CNA Class is 100 Hours Total. 60 of those are Classroom and Lab while the other 40 are in the Clinical setting.

Our Evening Classes are from 5 PM - 11 PM Monday - Friday. Evening Classes last 17 Days Total.

Clinicals are done at local facilities in Lubbock, Texas.

What materials are needed for the CNA Class?

We will provide students with workbooks, textbooks, and all materials used within the lab. Students will need to bring their own note-taking materials such as pens, pencils, notebooks, highlighters, and are encouraged to bring whatever else that helps them study and take notes.

Our school colors are red and gray. Scrubs N Style in Lubbock is a great place for scrubs and other nursing attire. For more information and to visit their site, click here.

Is there a Dress Code?

We require all students to wear scrubs during both the Class and Clinical portions of the program. Our School Colors are Red and Gray so any scrubs with red or gray will work. While both in the Classroom and Clinical facilities, we will maintain a level of professionalism. Students will be required to have a short fingernail length and if their hair is long, it will need to be pulled back and/or braided. Shoes will need to be tennis sneakers/shoes. House shoes, Crocs, sandals, and the like will not be permitted.

Students who aren’t within our Dress Code will be asked to change. If they have to go home to do so, they will have to make up the hours on their own time.

We do have bathrooms for changing as well.

What is the testing process to become officially certified with the state of Texas?

Once students finish and graduate from the CNA Program, they are registered with the State of Texas and Prometric, which administers the tests. Students are responsible to register and pay for both portions of the test.

We do offer assistance in the form of allowing former students the ability to practice in our lab if available.
